Bio

As a teacher, Sally Matheny first taught kindergarten for nine years. Living paycheck to paycheck, she took a leap of faith by leaving her job and coming home to be with her children. Her homeschooling journey began in 2000 and she has no regrets! After graduating two daughters who went on to graduate from college, she’s now homeschooling her son who plans to graduate in 2023.

She loves encouraging homeschool families by teaching creative writing and history co-op classes to students and facilitating homeschooling workshops for parents.

Sally and her husband of 30+ years, live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and are blessed with three children, two sons-in-law, and armfuls of grandbabies.

As a Christian blogger and speaker, Sally encourages parents to live victorious and to courageously tell the next generation wondrous things. As a freelance writer, Sally Matheny’s writing is published in worldwide print and online publications including The Old Schoolhouse.

Sally’s eager to hear from you and encourage you.
