A portion of this purchase goes back to NCHE to continue growing homeschooling in North Carolina!
North Carolinians for Home Education is governed by a board of directors. This board is composed of volunteers who fill one of the twelve designated positions, each with a different role. Working with the board, NCHE has several volunteer positions: regional liaisons, multicultural liaisons, and committee members. It takes a lot of work with many hands to accomplish the ministry of NCHE.
In order to better coordinate, NCHE divides the state into nine regions. Each region has an assigned number and regional liaison (RL). These RLs are here to answer your questions and to help you find groups and resources in your area. To find out more about your region look under the Community section at NCHE.com.
NCHE Mission
Our mission is to help parents homeschool with confidence and joy! We do this by working to:
- protect the rights of North Carolina citizens to homeschool,
- equip families with the information and encouragement they need, and
- connect families with other homeschooling families and groups across the state.
NCHE Core Values
- Parental Authority: The authority and responsibility of educating and raising children belongs to parents.
- Home Education: Home education is effective for establishing academic success, preparation for life, strong family relationships, and moral character.
- Service to All: NCHE welcomes and serves all homeschool families, regardless of race or religious affiliation.
- Biblical Christianity: NCHE operates on the basis of Biblical principles, affirms the Nicene Creed, and holds to the authority of Scripture for doctrine and practice. As such, we provide support to Christian parents in helping their children to follow Jesus Christ.
